About the Artist

Creativity in any form is an art; expression of thoughts and ideas through image and sound, disovering new paths and patterns of the mind..
Jennifer R. Evan
Jennifer started painting at 14 years old, after being inspired from many years of school art classes. She still has the first two paintings she did, at 14 and 15 years old, and cherishes them greatly.
She continued working on her skill throughout high school, and gained confidence in her International Baccalaureate Art class culminating in a 2-day gallery of her work at the end of her senior year.
Though she studied biology, chemistry, and the humanities in college, she continued to keep her love of art, specifically painting, at a priority in her busy schedule. Though she has dabbled in ceramics, sculpture, jewelry-making, drawing, and photography, painting still remains her passion. She enjoys working in acrylics most, but has experimented in watercolor as well.
She has enjoyed being able to give paintings to friends and family and to spread a love of art and creativity to others. Now in medical school, she has consistently maintained her passion for painting despite the significant time strain her studies consume. From donating paintings for silent auctions raising money for outreach clinics to having her paintings displayed in the annual IUSM Art Exhibition "Scientific Inquiry, Artistic Expression", Jennifer loves being able to incorporate art and medicine together. She hopes to one day have a practice where patients can both enjoy art in the clinic and improve health conditions and quality of life using art therapy.
